Joel & Friends Wear Their Hoodies for Boys Town Jerusalem

joel-handlerBar Mitzvah boys Joel Handler’s fundraising efforts for Boys Town Jerusalem were boosted by nearly £250 when he and all of his friends at King David High School, Manchester wore their hoodies at school last week. Joel, who is twinning his upcoming Bar Mitzvah celebrations with a pupil at Boys Town, is also raising money by running 5KM at next month’s Jerusalem Marathon.

“What Joel is doing is so appreciated by everyone at Boys Town. Thanks to him and all those who are contributing to his fundraising efforts, one of our students is going to have a Bar Mitzvah they will never forget.” said Ian Kamiel, Boys Town Jerusalem’s Executive Development Director in the UK. “Our 13 for 13 Bar Mitzvah Project is a great way that we in the UK can make a difference to the lives of the disadvantaged boys who study at this remarkable school.”
