Over the 2018/19 school year, a record number of Bar Mitzvah ceremonies for needy students were held at Boys Town Jerusalem including twins David & Daniel.
Sadly, their father and brother were not at their side as a result of a bitter divorce that tore the family apart several years ago. The challenge was to work with the boys’ mother to find a way to create a happy, meaningful celebration and so the natural solution was to hold the Bar Mitzvah ‘at home’ in Boys Town Jerusalem.
The 13 for 13 Bar Mitzvah Project challenges those who are celebrating their Bar or Bat Mitzvah in the UK, to get creative and help a pupil at Boys Town Jerusalem celebrate their Bar Mitzvah.
You can make a real difference by raising money towards those things many of us take for granted such as new shoes and clothes, a Tallit & Tefillin, or a small party for them and their classmates.
This is a great way to make a difference in this special time in your life.
